Back to the Coffee Company, site of my debut of suckdom. I'm starting to get the hand of things and I'm figuring some stuff out. I've got my monitors on stands now and I brought an EQ to make the vocals a but richer. Friends and students who weren't at the last thing show up to this one. Things are going my way.
My parents are here, which makes me a little anxious--not quite myself. But I get over it pretty quickly and settle in for a night of FBF house-rockin'. My nephew complains that I don't do the screaming at the end of Yellow Lasers exactly as it is on the recording so I have to do it again. I come closer, but not quite to his satisfaction.
Not much else to say about this one--it was a hit. Oh yeah, I debut "Adaptation," which is recorded and submitted to Song Fight the next day--a FBF first. It goes over extremely well, despite being played poorly, and becomes known as the "anthrax song" among the FBF regulars.
